PAR is opposed to high-volume hydrofracking for gas because it endangers the health of humans and other beings and destroys habitat (the natural areas which wild animals need to survive).  As demonstrated where this method of gas extraction has already happened, severe air and water pollution results and has caused serious health problems and even death for humans, domesticated animals and wild animals.  Instead of turning our beautiful upstate New York into an industrial wasteland, PAR supports energy conservation (both in our personal lives and by government and business), energy efficiency, solar, wind and other renewable energy sources.
